Grade 8 chain is widely used in cargo handling, lifting and lashing, and can support up to 200°C without reducing its load capacity. As the equipment is properly identified, your production batch can be tracked by marking the links. Grade 8 chain is available on FUERTES in different diameters and with different types of accessories, thus, varying its capacity under load limit.


FUERTES grade 8 chain is forged according to EN 818-2 norm, ensuring reliability and safety, exceeding the necessary technical requirements. Available in diameters from 6 mm to 32 mm, it offers options to the diverse demands in the cargo handling, in the form of slings of 1 to 4 legs, in combination with different types of hooks, master rings, with or without sub-links, and shortening hooks.

The length of the chain is defined by the customer, enabling the use of chains in the most varied processes of lifting, lashing and handling. The chain has an excellent cost-benefit ratio for the customer, being recognized internationally, and used in several industrial segments in lifting and in the heavy cargo transport industry, interacting with hooks at the ends and load binders with shorteners.

This type of chain varies according to each supplier, which also usually takes into account its length. The production of chains usually goes through two main processes: wire curvature and welding. Therefore, looking for a good supplier is important to have guaranteed quality. Typically, this type of grade 8 link chain can withstand temperatures up to 200°C. Depending on the type of material it is made of, the chain can also withstand very low temperatures, such as – 40°C.
